Resting with Lonesome Charlie

Welcome to Montanamuses.com

Drew Bodner of Prairie Village, Kansas, is an artist who conveys his western roots through his paintings.  His inspiration comes from Judith Basin in North Central Montana where his grandparents homesteaded in 1892.   His father, also a western artist, grew up on the homestead and passed along a ranch in the Highwood Mountains to Drew.  Drew and his wife, Joanne, have a home there and visit regularly to drink in the "best of the real west."

Drew paints with water colors, acrylics and oils and does graphite pencil drawings.   His work has been exhibited in galleries in Great Falls, Montana; Weston, Missouri;
Raton, NM and Paris, Arkansas.  Drew is a Featured Artist at the Prairie Collection Gallery in Stanford, Montana.

Drew has been juried into several art shows: Images Gallery in Overland Park, Kansas and the Arti Gras in Leawood, Kansas.   Also, he conducts a painting class at a Kansas City, Kansas inner city school.

Although most of his paintings are of his ranch and surrounding area, he also has painted in the Swan Valley near Rigby, Idaho; the Wind River Range in Wyoming; Orange Beach, Alabama; and scenes in Santa Fe, New Mexico.   Additionally, I've painted in Florida, Arizona, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
